OSMOAIR™ OSMO PLAY
A 4-inch touchscreen display for on-site readings, HMI and edge control.
OSMO PLAY pairs a 4.0-inch TFT display with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RS-485, and CAN, so it suits industrial HMI, edge controllers, smart control panels, and IoT gateways.
It's the on-site face of the OSMOAIR™ system, showing live readings from nearby devices where people can see them.
4.0-Inch TFT Display
480 × 480 resolution RGB LCD with 65K colors.
Wired & Wireless Connectivity
Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth LE (BLE 5.0), RS-485, and CAN in one device.
CAN Interface (ESP32-S3 TWAI)
ISO 11898-1 supported standard, 11-bit standard & 29-bit extended frames, up to 1 Mbps bit rate.
RS-485 with Auto Flow Control
Screw terminal interface with TVS diode, surge & ESD protection, and automatic hardware flow control.
USB-C Power & Firmware Updates
5 V DC power over USB Type-C / DC input, with firmware updates via USB Type-C.
Versatile Mounting
Wall mount / panel mount in an industrial protective enclosure.
What this device measures, and why each parameter matters. Expand any one for its purpose, common sources, and where it comes up.
OSMO PLAY visualizes and monitors real-time environmental parameters on its 4.0-inch touchscreen display, aggregated from networked OSMO sensors and field devices via CAN and RS-485:
Temperature
The degree of heat or cold in an indoor environment. It directly affects occupant comfort, equipment performance, and process stability.
Relative Humidity
The amount of moisture present in the air relative to its maximum capacity. Maintaining the right humidity helps prevent condensation, static electricity, and material degradation.
Carbon Dioxide (CO₂)
A naturally occurring gas released through human respiration and combustion. Elevated CO₂ levels often indicate inadequate ventilation and overcrowded indoor spaces.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC)
A family of airborne chemicals emitted from paints, furniture, adhesives, cleaning products, and solvents. High VOC levels can reduce indoor air quality and indicate chemical pollution.
Nitrogen Oxides (NOx)
Reactive gases produced by fuel-burning equipment, generators, boilers, and vehicle emissions. They are commonly monitored in buildings exposed to combustion sources.
PM₁
Ultrafine airborne particles measuring 1 micron or smaller. These particles remain suspended for long periods and are common in highly controlled indoor environments.
PM₂.₅
Fine particulate matter measuring 2.5 microns or less. Often associated with smoke, combustion, and indoor pollution, PM₂.₅ is one of the most important air quality indicators.
PM₄
Respirable airborne particles up to 4 microns in diameter. They are commonly found in industrial workplaces and environments with airborne process dust.
PM₁₀
Coarse suspended particles up to 10 microns, including dust, pollen, and larger airborne debris. Monitoring PM₁₀ helps assess overall cleanliness of indoor spaces.
Air Quality Index (AQI)
A standardized index that combines multiple pollutant readings into a single air quality score. It provides an easy-to-understand overview of the indoor environment.
Hydrogen (H₂)
The lightest and highly flammable gas, commonly released during lead-acid battery charging. Continuous monitoring is essential in battery rooms to detect hazardous accumulation.

- Multi-protocol communication status (CAN Bus, RS-485, Wi-Fi, BLE 5.0)
Configurable Options
- Multi-device telemetry aggregation over CAN (ISO 11898-1) and RS-485
Install the device
Wall mount or panel mount the industrial protective enclosure and connect 5 V DC power via USB Type-C or DC input terminals.
Connect to the OSMOAIR Platform
Connect to field devices and supervisory systems via Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz), Bluetooth LE (BLE 5.0), RS-485 screw terminals, or CAN bus (ISO 11898-1).
Monitor, alert, and report
Present real-time environmental data on the 4.0-inch 480×480 color display, manage edge controls, and route telemetry to the platform.
